چکیده
Sustainability is of fundamental importance for the construction industry: in recent decades researchers focused on supplementing building components with multiple natural fibres, evaluating their mechanical performance and application fields. In this field, common plasters are usually equipped glass fibre mesh to avoid crack patterns due shrinkage. Natural thanks high tensile resistance, can represent a green solution solve problem. particular, work investigates properties characteristics biocompound obtained hemp fibres. The first phase aims at identifying ideal mixture between fibres mortar improve workability altering water/lime ratio. performed physical tests provide useful information evaluation consistency compound. Based these preliminary results, 10 combinations 3 parameters, namely diameter, percentage length braid fragments, tested. Among properties, bending, compressive behaviours evaluated. For each test, performances fibre-reinforced samples compared reference specimens. From it noted that best were from diameter 1 mm 2 cm. On other hand, flexural tests, seen braids cm an average bending stress about 13% less than control specimen. Contrarily, give mean increase 8%

Properties of Hemp Fibre Reinforced Concrete Composites
This research is concerned with the mechanical and physical properties of hemp fibre reinforced concrete (HFRC). An experimental program was developed based on the statistical method of fractional factors design. The variables for the experimental study were: 1) mixing method; 2) fibre content by weight; 3) aggregate size; and 4) fibre length. Their effects on the compressive and flexural perfo...
متن کاملDurability of Starch Based Biodegradable Plastics Reinforced with Manila Hemp Fibers
The biodegradability of Manila hemp fiber reinforced biodegradable plastics was studied for 240 days in a natural soil and 30 days in a compost soil. After biodegradability tests, weights were measured and both tensile strength tests and microscopic observation were performed to evaluate the biodegradation behavior of the composites. The results indicate that the tensile strength of the composi...
متن کاملAcoustic Absorption of Hemp Walls with Ground Granulated Blast Slag
Unwanted sound reflection can create acoustic discomfort and lead to problems of speech comprehensibility. Contemporary building techniques enable highly finished internal walls resulting in sound reflective surfaces. In contrast, sustainable construction materials using natural and vegetal materials, are often more porous and absorptive. Hemp shiv is used as an aggregate and when mixed with li...
متن کاملPerformance of date palm fibres reinforced plaster concrete
This paper describes an investigation on the use of a new composite construction material composed of plaster, sand, crushed gravel and date palm fibres of waste agriculture peels, having mechanical properties potentially useful in technical domains. Thermal conductivity and some mechanical and physical properties are investigated. The results showed that the incorporated vegetable fibres chang...
متن کاملStatistical Behaviour of Hemp and Sisal Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene Composites
The use of vegetal fibres in thermoplastic matrix is increasing mainly because of their opportunity to recycle the structures. An another advantage is to provide materials for developing countries were these fibers are abundant. Nowadays, a lot of studies are more focused on the fibers to understand their microstructure and to establish their mechanical properties [1,2]. One of the main results...
